Google Launches Services in Hindi

 Google India

Google announced the launch of Hindi transliteration on Blogger, its Web publishing service. The company also announced its News service in Hindi.

Google Inc! believes these launches will enable a majority of people, mainly bloggers from india, to have quicker, easier access to lots more information which helps in developing a Indian language content.

Google's transliteration technology converts English to phonetically equivalent text in Indian languages. Hindi transliteration on Blogger allows users publish content in Hindi, while using English keyboards for text entry.

For instance, when users type 'Sare Jahan Se Acha', the technology will convert this into corresponding Hindi script. Besides, users will be able to switch freely between English and Hindi.

Google's News service in Hindi is based on its innovative clustering technology. The service gathers news stories from various Hindi news sources, and presents a ranked one page view with links to users' favorite news sources.

For all Indian language Web sites, Google supports adoption of Unicode
UTF-8 standard. With the launch of Google News in Hindi, users will be able to reach content from even those news sources which are not yet in this format. And, as these news sites transition, Google will internally convert their content to the Unicode UTF-8 standard.

So, Happy Blogging for Indians
Jai Hind !!
