Google Penguin 2.0 (4th Release) Rolled out worldwide including Australia

Google Penguin 2.0 Update

The long wait is over: Matt Cutts aka Google guy officially confirmed the Google Penguin 2.0 or the fourth release of Penguin update in his blogpost:

 "About 2.3% of English-US queries are affected to the degree that a regular user might notice. The change has also finished rolling out for other languages world-wide."

It will be interesting to see in the coming week what are the changes inflicted by this algorithmic update.

Just for an overview for the people who are wondering what is Penguin?

This is just another algorithmic update by Google search engine which is focused on links, anchor text and over optimisation. 

Here is list:
  • Penguin 1 on April 24, 2012 (impacting ~3.1% of queries)
  • Penguin 2 on May 26, 2012 (impacting less than 0.1%)
  • Penguin 3 on October 5, 2012 (impacting ~0.3% of queries)
  • Penguin 4 on May 22, 2013 (impacting 2.3% of queries)
