Ayodha Verdict - Ayodhya High Court Verdict 2010 – Ram Temple Babri Masjid Muslim Mosque – Ayodha Dispute

All eyes were set on High Court judgment on Ayodhya Verdict. Supreme Court of India directed High Court Allahabad to give verdict on Thursday, September 24, 2010 without any further delay. Famous Ayodha dispute – “Who owns the land” attracted not only the Indian people but World as well. Hindus are claiming the 2.77 acres of land on the basis that it is birthplace of Lord Rama (Ram Janambhoomi) while Muslims defended their demand on Babri Masjid that it was built by Moghul emperor Babur in 1528.

The dispute took an ugly turn on Dec 6, 1992 when Babri Masjid was demolished during a political rally, followed by riots in which over 2000 were killed.

In the historic Ayodhya verdit on Thursday, September 24, 2010 Allahabad High Court dismissed Muslim Waqf Board petition. Land will be divided in three parts among the Sunni Waqf Board, Nirmohi Akhara and the Ram Lalla.
